HAVE YOU HAD YOUR FLU JAB YET? IF NOT CONTACT THE SURGERY TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT.

The practice has a robust system to enable all patients suffering from a chronic disease to be invited to the surgery for routine review. It is very important that patients respond to the invitation and attend at the surgery, whether or not they are feeling well at the time. This will allow one of our practice nurses to monitor the progress of the disease and allow us to react quickly to any problems that may become apparent.

All Chronic Disease Management is carried out at our Skegness site at the moment. We are planning to make this service available at our Burgh-Le-Marsh surgery once the internal refurbishment is completed.

THIS SYSTEM IS ABOUT KEEPING YOU WELL AS MUCH AS MAKING YOU WELL.

The disease groups for which we employ this system are:

  • ASTHMA
  • DIABETES
  • HYPERTENSION
  • HYPOTHYROIDISM
  • CORONARY HEART DISEASE
  • EPILEPSY
  • STROKE
  • CHRONIC OBSTRUCTIVE PULMONARY DISEASE

Some of these disease types will require only one routine review a year, others more. Please allow us to provide you with the care you deserve by attending at the surgery when asked to do so.

Obviously if you are feeling unwell at any time you can make an appointment to see one of the practice doctors.
