APPOINTMENT SYSTEM EXPLAINED Our appointment system allows for booking appointments in advance and also for booking appointments on the day that they are required. You can book appointments up to 28 days in advance. Appointments can be booked: 1. In person. 2. By phone. 3. Via our website. How It Works There are two types of appointment: 1. Pre-Bookable Appointments. We release a limited number of appointments 28 days in advance of the booking date, we term these as pre-bookable appointments. These are early morning and early afternoon appointments. The actual number of appointments released for pre-booking is entirely dependent upon doctor availability. It is important to understand that these are limited in number and once they have been fully utilised for a particular date then no further pre-booking is allowed on that particular day. 2. Release on the Day Appointments These appointments are released at 8.00 a.m. daily. They are bookable from that time on throughout the day. These are more numerous than the Pre-Bookable Appointments as there is a greater demand for them. This system allow for a certain amount of flexibility for you the patient to book your appointments. I have spent a lot of time adjusting and refining the system to meet your and our needs. Please keep in mind the following: 1. There are a finite number of appointments on a daily basis. It is not always possible to provide the number of appointments that are sometimes required. 2. If you make an appointment please keep it. If you find that you cannot attend please let us know. We can then allow another patient to use it. 3. Appointments should only be made for clinical reasons. If you have a non-clinical matter to discuss, such as requiring a letter or have problems with health transport etc.,please contact myself or a member of my team and we will deal with your query for you. 4. Please be punctual. Each appointment slot is 10 minutes in length. The doctors do all in their power to remain on schedule so as not to inconvenience you the patients. If you are late attending for your appointment the doctor may not see you. If you have any queries regarding the appointment system please do not hesitate to contact me at the surgery.
